Es una catedral g\u00f3tica de inspiraci\u00f3n francesa construida (entre 1205 y 1301) sobre antiguas termas romanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Catedral de Le\u00f3n es realmente famosa por sus incre\u00edbles vidrieras. Las ventanas cubren aproximadamente 1.800 metros de superficie, la mayor parte a\u00fan originales de cuando se construy\u00f3 la Catedral. Tras reconquistar Le\u00f3n a los \u00e1rabes en el a\u00f1o 917, cedi\u00f3 su residencia como muestra de agradecimiento a Dios y allan\u00f3 el camino para que aqu\u00ed se construyera una Catedral. Primero un templo (donde Ordo\u00f1o II fue enterrado cuando muri\u00f3 en 924) fue ampliado a Catedral por orden de Do\u00f1a Urraca, hija de Fernando I. La Catedral fue consagrada el 10 de noviembre de 1073.
