Muga Rioja Rosé Review
7.95 Euros, a 6.5/10 for us*
*I’m probably the last person who should be reviewing a Rosé because I’ve never been a fan of Rosés – for me they’re the wine people buy when they can’t make up their minds between a white and a red. So take this review for what it’s worth…
Muga Winery is located in Haro, in La Rioja. And its Rosé is a mix of Granacha (red) and Viura (white) grapes.
Description: Dry and fresh. I appreciate these attributes. But I can’t get into the flavour profile of rosés, for me they lack the best features of both red (the depth of complexity) and white wines (the fruity freshness and floral notes). As I said above, I have a hard time finding the reason for Rosés – they just don’t do anything for me.
