Marques de Caceres white Review
4.95 Euros, an 8/10 for us
I generally don’t love Spanish whites in the under 5 Euro category: I find them generally overly sweet and cloying and mostly all the same. Marques de Caceres is a good wine brand (see my review of the Marques de Caceres red) and at 4.95 Euro is a step up from much of the stuff you’ll see in this price range. More on that in the description below.
Located in Cenicero, in the heart of La Rioja Alta, the wines of Marqués de Cáceres Wineries can be found in over 120 countries worldwide. This white wine is produced by Viura grapes (the most common white grape found in La Rioja).
Description: I’ve mentioned overly sweet and cloying white wines. What I like about the Marques de Caceres white is its freshness, crispness, and it’s undertones of pear. It’s not overly sweet and cloying.
Value: 4.95 is at the top of the range of what I like to pay for an everyday wine. And its more than many whites you’ll find at the local supermarket. But if you want something that stands out I really recommend the Marques de Caceres white.
