Proximus Wine Review
4.50 Euro, 7.5/10 for us
The 0 – 5 Euro price bracket has a lot of large competitors that sell their wines in most of the big retail stores. Proximus was different – we went to our local specialty wine store where we asked for a “good but inexpensive wine”. Proximus was recommended.
Apart from knowing that it’s a Ribera del Duero wine and that it’s made from Tempranillo grapes, I can’t seem to find anything online about the winery that produces Proximus.
Description: A very tasty, easy drinking, fruity wine (typical of Ribera del Duero wines) with a bit of extra body and smooth (almost caramelly) finish that sets it apart. So I was surprised to see indifferent/negative reviews on the Vivino website. Yes, definitely there are better Ribera del Dueros – but I don’t know if you’ll find any under 5 Euros and that’s what makes Proximus a star for me in this price category.
Value: For 4.50 Euros I think this is an excellent value wine.
