Campo Viejo Crianza wine Review
6.05 Euros, 7.7/10 for us
Campo Viejo is a well-know winery located near Logroño in the heart of the Rioja. You can find their wines all over the world, in fact the first time I tried this bottle was in Mexico.
Description: A typical Rioja, made from 100% Tempranillo. Bold, smooth and fruity – in fact what hits you on first sniff is ripe berries. A nice, full-bodied wine with a hint of vanilla that’s easy to drink and which pairs with almost anything.
It’s very similar to other Riojas in the same price range: Marqués de Cáceres, Lune, El Coto. All good wines with a similar profile that are always dependable.
Value: at 6 Euros, it is very good value. DON’T confuse it with their white label Crianza (which I’m still upset about).
